Petits pas de laine (Little Woolly Steps) is an awareness and solidarity initiative created by P.R.O. Kids Dieppe-Memramcook. This educational activity is an integral part of the Socks Walk (Marche en bas de laine), our major annual fundraiser!

For two weeks, children—from early childhood up to Grade 8—take part in reflection and walking activities within their establishment. The concept is powerful: students take off their shoes to walk together in their socks, making a strong gesture of solidarity towards low-income families in our communities to say: “We are here for you, together.

CALLING ALL TEACHERS (Grades 9 to 12)

Your students are more than old enough to join us and walk for the cause! On October 2nd, mobilize your classrooms to put on their socks and walk by our side. Teachers, take advantage of this moment to spark a conversation with your students:

Local support: How do our actions strengthen our community?
Equality: What does it mean to "put ourselves on the same level" by everyone walking in their socks?
Engagement: Why is it crucial for youth to support social causes?
Solidarity: How can we be a safety net for youth facing invisible challenges?
